I met a Northern Inuit Dog for the first time, whilst attending a dog training class with my German Shepherd. I was so intrigued by the breed I spent a long time on the internet reading as much info I could find. Feeling satisfied I had found the right breed of dog for me and my daughter, Andi, I set about to find a breeder, and found my boy Diesel. Sadly when he was about 10 months old my German Shepherd fell ill and had to be put to sleep, Diesel became very sad and fretted for a while and it became clear to me that he needed another of his own kind. Some time later along came Nanuq and then Breeze and I am sure there will be many more, I am totally addicted to these wonderful dog’s that are slowly but surely taking over our lives and filling us with fun, joy and love.

Like myself my daughter loves nothing more than to walk and run with our dogs out in the woods, and then later to relax with them in front of the TV (Diesel really does watch TV). I prefer to sit on the sofa while Andi likes to lay on the floor with the dog’s, playing the part of a nice warm comfy pillow for Breeze to lay her head on. We also Love attending the shows and events organised by TIDA in our new caravan, although I’m not sure who enjoys them more, us or the dog’s?! We are also planning many caravan holidays next year.

I have made many good friends since joining TIDA and have been welcomed into the pack with open arms; they are all friendly caring people who will go out of their way to lend a hand when it is needed.

I have also become a member of PAACT and I have started on the road to becoming a qualified dog trainer.

Best Wishes
